An aggregate of activities designed to ensure adequate quaility, exspecially in manufactured products or its the service industries.

To make greater; more numerous, larger, or more intense.
direct filing system
A filling system in which materials can be located without consulting an intermediary source of reference.
obliteration
Act of making undecipherable or imperable or imperceptible by obscuring or wearing away.
caption
A heading title, or subtiltle under which records are filed.
subjective information
Information that is gained by questioning the patient or take from a form.
chronologic order

transcription
To make a writtin copy of, either on longhand or by maching.
shelf filing
A system that uses open shelves rather than cabinets for storing records.
audit
A formal examination of an organization or individual's accounts or finalcial situations; a methodic examination and review.
shingling
A method of filing whereby one report is laid on top of the older report, resembling the shilgles of a roof.

A film bearing a photographic record on a reduced scale of printed pr other graphic matter
indirect filling system
A filing system in which an intermediary source of reference, such as a card file

A method or plan for retaining or keeping medical records, and thier movement from active, to inactive, to closed filing.

The act or manner of uttering words to be transcirbed

Constitinunation of care smoothly from one provider to another, so that the patient recieves the most benifits and no interruption in care.

The filling of records, correspondence, or cards by number.
outguide
A heavy guide that is used to replace a folder that has been temporarliy moved from the filing space.
outfolder
A folder used to provide space for the temporary filing of materials

A chronologic file used as a reminder that something must be takeen care of on a certain date.
