Invaded Egypt and took over Upper Egypt.
Kerma
The capital of Kushite government, was an important trading center for central and southern Africa. Eventually became the center for the Kushite civilization, known for beautiful pottery.
Meroe
Kushite leaders move capital from Egypt to Meroe in 671 BC. Kushites invent own 23 letter alphabet, set up new trading networks and developed own innovations.
Natural Resources
Egyptians became dependent on the natural resources such as granite, hardwoods, and gold in Nubia.
Mummification
Removing all organs except the heart, rubbing with special oils and wrapping in linen cloth, process took 70 days and was to preserve the dead body.
