- A person who agreed to work for someone for a set period of time in return for the cost of coming to America.

- A large farm usually found in the Southern states.

- Able to provide most of one's own needs.
- Founders
- People who were important in the establishment of the United States.
- Slaves
- A person whose rights are denied and who is forced to work for another person.
