A belief that a promise and agreement between Abraham and God. It included two declarations: God would have a special relationship with Abraham and his descendents. God also declared that Canaan would one day belong to the Israelites.

- He lived near Ur in Mesopotamia. He and his family migrated to Canaan in around 2000 BC. He is considered to be the father of the Israelite people.
Moses
An Israelite that renewed God's covenant with the Israelites. He led the Israelites in their departure fro the Egypt. After forty years they reached Canaan although he died right before they arrived there.
