- Spiritual leaders that are sent by God to interpret his will. People such as Isaiah and Jeremiah reminded the Jewish people of their duties.

- An Israelite that renewed God's covenant with the Israelites. He led the Israelites in their departure fro the Egypt. After forty years they reached Canaan although he died right before they arrived there.
