Occipital bone

Foramen lacerum

bounded anteriorly by the sphenoid bone and medially by the sphenoid and occipital bones
transmits a pharyngeal artery
Foramen rotundum

located at junction anterior and medial in sphenoid bone
maxillary branch of the trigeminal nerve
