Margaret Atwood
She was a poet, novelist, essayist, critic, and short-story writer, had been called "a national heroine of the arts." Born in the city of Ottawa in Ontario, Canada, she spent much of her childhood in wilderness regions, where she accompanied her scientist father on long field trips.

He was born in Russia, and came with his parents to the United States of America when he was just three. In his lifetime, the "Great Explainer" wrote over 470 books in addition to countless essays and magazine artiicles. he did all his own research and typing and wrote countless essays and magazine articles. According to many critics, he wrote some of the best science-fiction stories ever published.
Joan Aiken
The daughter of the American poet Conrad Aiken, grew up in England, where her parents settled before she was born. After her parents divorced, her mother married another writer, Martin Armstrong. Career began in 1945, when she married Ronald Brown and also began having her poems and stories published in magazines. Her first book of fiction for young adults, All You've ever wanted and other stories, appeared in 1953.

As a child in Heiberger, Alabama, she had to walk five miles a day to a one-room schoolhouse while white children rode past her on a school bus. that experienced and others made her determined to struggle for racial equality. recognizing education as the key to winning that struggle, she studied hard and eventually won a scholarship to Antioch College in Ohio, where her sister Edythe had been the first African-American student on campus. Over the years, she has shown great determination and courage in her fight for civil rights.

Born to British parents in Persia, she grew up in Southern Rhodesia, where her family went to farm when she was about five. Her childhood was fairly solitary. her first novel was The grass is singing.
Chinua Achebe
He is one of contemporary Africa's most famous authors. A member of the Ibo people of eastern Nigeria, he was born in the village of Ogidi. During the Nigerian civil war of 1967-1970, he supported the independence effort of Biafra, a predominately Ibo region in eastern Nigeria.

In addition to being regarded as one of the 20 century's finest essayists, he has been acclaimed as a poet, humorist and children's author.
