- Anaphase
- the phase of mitosis in which the chromosomes being to separate by spindle fibers
- Centrioles
- Paired cylindrical organelles, arranged at right angles to each other located at the center of a micro tube
- Centromeres
- a centromere is the constricted region of a nuclear chromosome microfibers attach to the centromere during mitosis
- Chromosomes
- structures in the nucleus that contain DNA molecules that contain the genes
- Interphase
- The phase of a cell's life cycle in which DnA is replicated
- Microtubules
- tiny filaments (about 25 nanometers in diameter) that are active in mitosis
- Prophase
- the phase of mitosis in which the duplicated chromosomes condense, the nuclear duplicated chromosomes condense the nuclear envelope dissolves, and centrioles divide and move to opposite ends of the cell (LONGEST CYCLE)
- Telophase
- the last phase of mitosis when the chromosomes migrate to opposite ends of the cell two new nuclear envelopes form and the chromosomes uncoil. (two nuclei) spindle fibers break down
- Mitosis cell division
- when one cell divides to two daughter cells
- Chromatin
- long stands of DNA wrappers around proteins
- Interphase
- is the busiest phase in the cell cycle
- Metaphase
- Chromosomes line up in the equator of the cell center with their partner
- Asexual Reproduction
- a type of reproduction involving only one patent that produces genetically identical offspring.
- cell cycle
- cyclic series of events in the life ofd a dividing eukaryotic cell ; consists of stages of interphase mitosis and cytokinesis.
- Cell Plate
- the structure that forms during cytokinesis in plants separation the two daughter cells produced by mitosis
- Centromere
- Specialized constricted region of a chromatin; contemns the kinetochore. in cells at prophase and metaphase sister chromatids are joined in the vicinity
- Chromatid
- one of the two identical halves of a duplicated chromosomes the two chromatids that make up a chromosome are referred to as sister chromatids
- Chromatin
- the complex of DNA proteins and some RNA that makes up eukaryotic chromosomes
- Chromosomes
- structures in the cell nucleus composed of chromate and containing the genes.
