- Glucose
- The food (sugar) plants need to live.
- Starch
- Extra sugar (glucose) stored by the roots.
- Midrib
- A LARGE vein that runs up the middle of the leaf.
- Stomata
- Air holes (or pores) located on the underside of the leaf.

- A plant's response to gravity.

- A stem that grows along the surface of the ground, also called a runner.

- The pigment or coloring that makes the plant green.
