Leprechaun:
(struggling) Help, help! My foot is caught between these rocks!
1

Girl:
(looking around) Who is calling?
2

Leprechaun:
I am --- down here!
2

Girl:
(looking down) What a funny little man! Who are you?
3

Leprechaun:
I'm an Irish leprechaun! If you get my foot loose, I will show you the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow!
3

Girl:
(helps loosen foot) OK, your foot is free. Where is the gold?
4

Leprechaun:
(pointing to the sky) Do you see that rainbow? It starts here (points) and goes there!
4

Girl:
Yes, I see it. It stretches for miles!
5

Leprechaun:
Well, the pot of gold is at the far end. (points) Way over there!
5

Girl:
Why is it at the farthest end? Why isn't it at the end close to us?
6

Leprechaun:
At this end, there is something far more valuable!
6

Girl:
Then let's go to this end of the rainbow.
7

Leprechaun:
Here we are! (lifts up bucket)
7

Girl:
What's in the bucket?
8

Leprechaun:
Paint! You can paint your own rainbow!
8

Girl:
(looking in bucket) This is more valuable than gold?
9

Leprechaun:
If you had a bucket of gold and spent it, it would be gone, right?
9

Girl:
That is true.
10

Leprechaun:
When you start to paint, you will be an artist. And when you are an artist, people will give you gold for your paintings. As long as you paint, you will have gold!
10

Girl:
Let's start! (picks up a brush from bucket) I have a lot of great ideas. (makes a big arc, like a rainbow) I feel that I could paint forever!
