- Cell
- The basic unit of structure of all living things.
- Cell Membrane
- A thin layter that rurrounds all cells and allows water and dissolved materials to pass into and out of the cell.
- Cell Wall
- The tough outer covering of a plant cell that gives the cell its rigid shape.
- Chloroplast
- A structure in plant cells that captures light energy that is used in the food-making process.
- Cytoplasm
- The jellylike substance that fills much of the cell.
- Flower
- The reproductive structure of a flowering plant.
- Leaf
- A plant part in shich photosynthesis takes place.
- Nucleus
- The cell structure that controls all of a cell's activities.
- Phloem Cells
- A plant cell that, when linked with other similar cells, forms a system of tubes for carrying nutrients from the leaves down through the stem and root.
- Pistil
- The female reproductive structure of a flower.
- Root
- The underground part of a plant that anchors the plant and absorbs water and nutrients.
- Stamen
- The male reproductive structure of a flower.
- Stem
- The part of a plant that supports the leaves and flowers and carries water to these parts of the plant.
- Vacuole
- A cell part that stores water and nutrients.
- Xylem Cells
- A plant cell that, when joined with other similar cells, forms a transport system throughout a plant.
