- Former marine and foster child. Purchased a pizza place called DomiNick's, which later became Domino's.

- Left school at 12, tried various jobs. Finally started selling homecooked food at his gas station. Later became Kentucky Fried Chicken.
- Ray Kroc
- High school dropout who sold milkshake mixers and met the McDonald brothers. He bought the rights to Franchise their restaurant. Later became a pioneer in the fast food industry.
- Walt Disney
