What was life like in the trenches?
There were big rats called trench rats which would feed on human corpses. One pair of rats can produce 880 offspring in one year. Shell shock was a disease that you could of cought while in the trenches because of so much shell fire. Symptoms are tiredness, irritability, giddeness, lack of concentration and headaches. Body lice is a lice that carried disease known as pyrrexhia. Symptoms were shooting pains in the shins and a very high fever. Trench foot is caused by cold wet and insanitary conditions. Men stood for hours on end in waterlogged trenches without being able to change wet socks and boots. Could turn into gaangrenous and result into amputation.
What is aa trench?
A trench is a large deep widde hole that the soldiers made. They pretty much lived there.

Everyone went broke (loss of money) and loss of jobs.

This was where the U.S traded wwith countries on both sides of the war. The Germany found out and set up blockades all around Englands. The U.S upset this. President Wilson warns Germnay. Then Germany sunk the Lusitania on May 17th, 1915. It was a British passenger ship which contained 1,200 passenger and 128 Americans. President Wilson threatens Germany. Germany backs off.
What was some of the U.S involvment?
President Wilson wanted the U.S to stay out of it. He wanted to stay peaceful. The impact of the war caused the economy to boom and lead to the propaganda war.
What was the battle of Verdun and the Somme?
This battle happened on from February-December 1916. France was attacked by Germany. Verdun was a very stratigic location in the North east of France. They had lots of forts and it was symbolic of French military power. France was attacked by Germany with a 9 hour artillary bombardment. Used 1,000,000 shells in those hours! Then the Germans went over the top of the trenches and attacked the french trenches. This didn't work very well. They ended up spending 10 months in the trenches. France won, and Verdun became a symbol of French determination.
What prince was assassinated in Serbia?
Franz Ferdinand on June 28th, 1914. He was shot.
What is the difference between a monarchy and a republic?
A monarchy iw where the decisions are made by one leader,and the republic is where the decisions are made by the citizens.

President Wilson's peace plan: Ended secret alliences, free trade amoung countries, limits on weapons, league of nations (protect the rights of all countries, justice for all). The fourteen points also included the peace treaty.
