- repetiton of the same constant sounds in words that are close together that are very similar
- allusion
- reference to a statement, a person, a place, or an event from literature, history, religion , myth, politics, sports, science, or pop culture

- special form of persuasion that uses reason to try to convince a reader or listener to think or act in a certain way
- aside
- words that are spoken by a character in a play to the aduience or to another character but that are not supposed to be overhead by the other`s onstage
- assonance
- repetition of similar vowel sounds that are followed by different constant sounds especially in words that are close together in a poem
