What is anatomy?: The study, description, and classification of the structure of the body and the relation of its parts.
ana-: Combining form meaning "up," "apart," or "backward."
-tomy: Combining form meaning "process of cutting."
What is physiology?: The study of the functions and activities of the living body.
What is pathology?: study of the causes of diseases and the physical changes that are caused by disease
What is a diagnosis?: the identification of illness
What are symptoms?: -the patients subjective report of the experience of their illness
What is a general practitioner?: A physician whose practice is not limited to any particular age group or specialty but rather covers people of all ages and many types of disorders. Also called family doctor.
What are signs of a disease?: -The objective, observable indications of disease (not always the same as symptoms)
