- Myxoma

-Located in the LA, attached to the IAS by a stalk.
-Different texture than the myocardium.
-Mimics MS and creates MR - Papillary Fibroelastoma

-Dense, mobile mass taht rarely exceeds 1 cm.
-Most common valvular tumor (adults AOV, MV; children TV) - Lipoma
-
-composed of mature fat cells, often large.
-Associated with Lipomatous Hypertrophy of the IAS.
-Associated finding: PE - Fibroma

-Bulky tumor embedded in the myocardial wall of IVS.
-Findings: LVOTO, CHF, dysrhythmia, and death
-Transplant may be indicated in children w/large tumor - Angiosarcoma

-Seen in RA
-Findings: P/E tamponade - Sarcoma

-Present as a wide variety of tumors
-Located in the RA - Secondary Tumors

-Extends from another area of the body to the heart
-Travel to the peri, then to the myo and endocardium
-Findings: PE/tamponade, CHF, dysrhythmias - Extracardiac Tumors

-Tumor w/in vicinity of the heart
-Pericardial involvement is common
-Wide variety of tumors - Carcinoid Heart Disease

-TV leaflets apprear fixed or rigid; they don't open or close.
-TR, TS, PI, PS
-Right heart failure - Thrombus

_Forms in areas of akinesis or dyskinesis
-Types: layered, pedunculated, multilobulated, or single
-LA thrombus ass. w/MS, LAE, Afib
-LV thrombus usually in apex, ass. w/anterior MI - Missiles
-
-Look for echogenic structures with strong reverberations
-Findings: myocardial rupture, ASD/VSD, valvular disruption, regurg, PE/tamponade - Rhabdomyoma
-
-Located in vent. walls
-More common in RV, may be multiple.
