- How does Robert describe Victor?
- -gigantic stature -spoke with a foreign accent. -interesting looking- his eyes had the expression of wilderness in them and madness and often sad

- The picture in a frame found in her pocket which William had. This is ironic because the story is told in a framing device.

- Extremely sad and depressed.
- How does Victor feel when he thinks that his creation caused the death of two of his loved ones?
- He felt guilty and blamed the deaths on himself. This made him become depressed.

- The nature scenes- the setting changes his mood.
