- Fitness Goal
- A personal objective set by an individual related to improving a specific part of fitness.
- Strategy
- A carefully thought out plan for achieving an objective in competition.
- Volley
- Hit before it touches the ground.
- Aerobic
- Exercise that is rhythmic, nonstop, and moderate, to vigorous activity that requires large amounts of oxygen. Activities should be long and slow and should last 20-30 minutes.
- Weight Training
- Weight lifting, body building, conditioning and toning and rehabilitation.
- Hand-Eye Coordination
- The ability of the vision system to coordinate the information received through the eyes to control, guide, and direct the hands in the accomplishment of a given task, such as catching a ball. Hand-eye coordination uses the eyes to direct attention and the hands to execute a task.
- Handicapped Athlete
- Is a person with a physical or mental disability that participates in physical activities or athletic competition.
- Anaerobic
- Exercise that is intense, short burst of energy and requires little oxygen to complete. Activities should be short and fast and stop and go movement.
- Lifetime Activity
- Are physical activities that someone can do throughout someone's lifetime.
- Health Benefit
- Promotes physical and mental well-being.
- Range of Motion
- The fullest extent of possible movement in a particular joint.
- Dual Sport
- Sports that are played between two paired or individual opponents like badminton, tennis, handball, or racquetball.
