- Fable
- story whose purpose is to teach a lesson or moral
- Autobiography
- an account of a person's lift as told by that person himself or herself
- Realistic Fiction
- fictional story where people and events are realistic and could happen in real life
- Least Common Mutiple
- the smallest counting number that is divisible by the given numbers
- Biography
- an account of a person's life told by someone other than that person
- Mystery
- story with an event that arouses curiosity or suspense with a problem to solve using clues
- Composite Number
- a whole number greater than 1 that has more that 2 factors
- Alliteration
- The occurrance, in a phase or line, of 2 or more words having the same inital sound
- Nonfiction
- literature which is not fiction
- Fantasy
- story set in an unreal world with event that could not happen
- Factor
- a number that is multiplied to give a product
- Folktale
- story perserved through the centuries, usually from an oral tradition, passed from generation to generation
- Personification
- figurtive endowment of unloving objects with personality or human attributes
- Fiction
- story in which characters & incidents are wholly or partly imaginary
- Science Fiction
- story in a fantasy world based on varying degrees of scientific facts

- the number above the bar in a fraciton
- Metaphor
- a figurative expression when 1 object is compared to another by speaking of it as if it were that other
- Historical Fiction
- fictional story based on historical events, but with fictional literary elements
- Simile
- a figurtive expression when 1 object is compared to another by the use of such terms LIKE, AS, SO, ETC.
- Rational Number
- a number that can be written as a fraction with a numerator that is an interger and a denominator that has an interger greater than 0
- Tall tale
- fictional story that uses exaggeration
- Greatest Common Factor
- the greatest number that is a factor of all numbers
- Denominator
- the number below the bar in a fraction
- Genre
- a category of literature
